Ordinary People is a deeply moving and profoundly human drama that explores the delicate anatomy of a family grieving an unimaginable loss. Adapted for the stage from Judith Guest’s Academy Award-winning novel and film, the story follows the Jarrett family—Tormented teenager Conrad, his driven father Calvin, and his emotionally guarded mother Beth—as they attempt to rebuild their lives in the aftermath of a tragic boating accident that claimed the life of Conrad's older brother.

As Conrad navigates the turbulent waters of survival guilt and post-traumatic stress, the play strips away the polished veneer of suburban perfection to reveal the raw, conflicting ways people process pain. Through moments of intense heartbreak, unexpected humor, and fierce hope, Ordinary People is an eloquent examination of healing, forgiveness, and the extraordinary resilience of the human spirit.
